Estate cleanouts for executors and families around West Chester
A house full of a lifetime takes more than a truck. We walk it with you, set aside what matters, and empty the rest.
What we do
-
Walk the house with you
You, or someone you trust, go room by room with us and say what stays and what goes. We write it down.
-
Set aside what matters
Photographs, papers, keepsakes and anything you flag are set aside for you. If we are not sure about something, we ask before it goes in the dumpster.
-
Clear and sweep
A crew empties the house into a dumpster in the driveway and leaves the floors swept. Basements, attics and garages are part of the job.
-
Work around the estate sale
If an estate sale company or an appraiser is going through the house first, we schedule after them.
Before you book
-
Who is authorizing the work
We ask your role: executor, administrator, owner, or a family member acting for the estate. If the estate is still in probate, check with its attorney that the house can be cleared before you book.
-
If family members disagree
We do not decide who gets what. If someone objects to an item, we leave it where it is until the person who hired us settles it.
-
If you live far away
Tell us when you call. We need you or someone you trust at the house for the walkthrough. After that you do not have to be there while we work, and a lockbox or a key handoff is fine.
-
What happens to what we take
Whatever you have not kept becomes ours to sell, donate or dispose of. We explain that in writing before you sign.
What we do not take
These stay out of the dumpster, and out of our jobs.
- Paint, except fully dried latex
- Chemicals, solvents and pesticides
- Fuel, motor oil and other flammable liquids
- Batteries and propane tanks
- Tires
- Biohazard and medical waste
- Asbestos and mold
- Hoarding-level conditions
We also do not take appliances, TVs, computers, monitors or microwaves. If you are not sure about something, ask us. See the questions page for more.
Tell us about the house
Send a few details and we will call or text to set up a walkthrough. You see a written price before any work starts.
